Truth Telling and Acceptance.

In Ireland, alcohol is a social icon. You hang out with your friends in the pub drinking alcohol and exchanging stories after a hard day's work. You take out alcohol from Ireland, you take out a large part of their culture and economy out.

In predominantly Muslim Egypt, alcohol is the drink of the devil. Somebody who drink it off the streets will surely be looked on and might even be chased by religious department officers. You take out alcohol from Egypt, you'd make the predominant Muslim relieved and you'd probably take out a fairly small portion of the economy.

Social icon vs Devil's drink. Two different views on one actual issue which is really there; Alcohol.

I hope those who've read the previous post and the comments that came with it would get the point here. And don't be talking about limitations in making comparisons about two different issues altogether. I hope this very simplistic note would be enough to feed the msg across that an actual event has many eyes who saw it and many hearts who felt it. One of them is mine.
